So I am starting the year with 2 shower curtains. This is a very big deal for me. As many of you know, I am a minimalist. I don’t really pay attention to “things”…. I am more about the experience. I have one pocket book and when there is a hole in the liner and I start losing pens, I go by another one ( a practical, functional, big enough one) and throw or give away the other. I have one set of sheets, one everyday set of dishes, one pair of sneakers. Okay so I did grow up with depression era parents but my belief, feel, basic tenant of life is ” I have what I need” and /or “why would I have this if I don’t need it.”

So John throws me this major curve ball by asking me if I want to go to BBB and get a new shower curtain. I respond–I’m in and I have a coupon no less. When we get home and put it up, I love it and proceed to package the other one up to put in the good will bag. He asks me why and I say..”well we don’t need it.” He then has the audacity to suggest that we could still keep it, have it, even though we don’t need it. Hmmmmm… could it be this belief system, this way of life that I consider a virtue, too extreme?? Maybe I can see what it feels like to have something I don’t need– or–simply have more than I need?

So I am starting the year with having more than I need and/or want…. Having more will absolutely be a theme this year for all of us.

I am starting the year with a new concept that has just challenged many beliefs in my head (ones that come from childhood, my ancestral line, the feminine in my family, particularly my mother) in a very good way… Releasing old concepts-beliefs- tenants and opening to more expansive ones, another theme of this year.

I am starting this year with an anticipation, excitements, as well as trepidation because I have no idea what all this means…. a very common feeling we will have all year, that will be fulfilled beyond anything we can expect or anticipate.

And— I am starting the year with something beautiful, material, that makes my home more beautiful….. a MAJOR theme of this 2+0+1+5=8 global year.

So 8 resonates with POWER MASTERY MANIFESTATION MONEY MATERIAL SUCCESS ABUNDANCE AUTHORITY VISION ORGANIZATION RECOGNITION and ACHIEVEMENT. We are coming off a “7” year, where we were inside, where our spirit was gathering strength and power (for more on that get the 12/30/14 Webinar on this website) and now in the “8” year, we express this power creatively, purposefully and passionately. This year, Heaven and Earth meet and create.

It is important to stay focused and take everything to the “inside” this year before you deal with it on the “outside”… meaning when we are facing something external–my washing machine has just broke, how do I make more money, where do I move to , my relationships are unsatisfying, my health has problems and I don’t know where to turn for this, how do i get out of this dead job, I have habits I am trying to break, I feel restless and don’t know why……you need to go inside and look at the part of you that has created this and ask why. Everything we experience, even what we think is beyond our control is a creation from some part of us. Go inside.

Our natural tendency is to try and deal with the external stuff on the outside– to deal with “it”, to come to it emotionally and mentally, to use our will to make (force) to make things change– but if we go inside and take responsibility for all that shows up in our life, and understand it has a purpose even when we don’t see that, we will find the directions to all we want to create and more importantly the directions to how to un-create what we don’t want. When we change the inside the outside miraculously changes itself. Like me, changing a belief in what I could, should and would allow myself to have. Last year set us up good to be comfortable with this process. The more you work from this place the easier it gets and the more comfortable you become with this process. And this my friends is true power and this is you owning your power.

So some things to keep in mind this year…it is a very creative year. Make sure you are creating from your Spirit (go back and read or sign up for the 7 spiritual tips to help with this). It is a very intense year– rely on your Spirit to respond so you do not react. Keep your vibration high (see this week’s forecast in 1/5/15 email) The relationships that remain in our life– especially with our dearest loved ones both on Earth and in Heaven– will deepen beyond what you thought possible. Your relationship to your own Spirit and to the team of helpers known as angels and guides that work beside you will go to a whole new level (we will have a webinar on 2/24/15 called Building your Spirit Teams, that will address this) And your creative potential is off the charts possible– use it!!

As for January, it is a month that will call out the need to purge, clear out and release. By the end of the month there will not be a junk drawer with junk in it in your life– internally there will be mental, emotional (especially the first two weeks) and physical clearing. Externally you will see people, places, situations, things (even food) being released. And what you do not release or think you need to but is no longer serving you- will release on it’s own because your Spirit has the reins and know exactly what you do not need and is making room for more. Yayyyyeee!!!
